What a day....

Wednesday
6:04 pm
Exhausted. That's what I would describe myself in one word sitting on the couch and on my laptop. There's nothing better than reflecting back on how many things you have (or tried to) accomplish in an entire day and realize that the sun is starting to set. Getting your mind pre-occupied and not noticing how fast the day goes is something I'm used to. Busting my ass at school and gaming non-stop for hours made me used to it. But boy, did this day go fast or what?
It was about 7:45 in the morning when my phone alarm woke me up. I had slept well enough to react fast to turn it off. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I always have that instinct where I gotta shut the alarm off as fast as possible...especially if it's loud in a quiet morning. Almost as if I was paranoid on waking up the others around or near me. I got up from the bed, sitting on it for a moment to rub my face. Then it was all about getting dressed immediately. I'm kind of like that. I like having clothes on early in the morning. Went to check on my emails and the latest happening on ferion.com. A turn-browser-based space game where you conquer planets and other empires etc etc. Grabbed a couple of slices of bread, took out the big sausage pack we had, cut thin slices off of it and directly on my bread. I was gonna reach for the bottled water in the fridge when I froze immediately and remembered......I left the bottle filled with water....in the friggin' freezer. I left it there on purpose the night before because I was thirsty and the tap water wasn't cold enough for me to enjoy after my workout. So I hid it in the freezer and I was immediately distracted by the movie playing on my sister's laptop...."Cool Runnings". An awesome movie which we both remembered and my sister had the urge to find and download it. I watched along and saw that it became late so I said my goodnights and went to bed completely forgetting about that damn water bottle. I had no time to wait for the water to thaw out so I just left it on the kitchen counter and went back to stare at my computer. By the time I felt I had nothing to do in the Ferion world, I noticed on the clock that I should have left 5 minutes ago. I quickly shut off my computer and looked for my boots. I told my half asleep sister that I'll leave my keys on the end table beside the bed and off I went. Downstairs and out on the street. It was a little bit on the cool side. The whole place looked like it had been hit by a downpour during the night and it was still cloudy with a light breeze every now and then. I felt a little cold since I decided to leave my jacket but didn't matter. I then reached for my pocket looking for my train/bus pass. IT WAS IN MY JACKET! I thought to myself while racing back, "I am gonna be late again". I called my sister on the intercom, explained what I had forgot and she let me in, and I got what I had forgot. I went outside again and decided to start jogging but that quickly left my mind as I was just staring at it going across the intersection and towards the stop I was gonna rendevouz at.
I had finished my 3-day orientation of how to find jobs or education in a government building and I was heading home. I felt tired as I always do from waking up earlier than usual (for the past year, I head to bed after midnight). What kept me awake were the girls getting off from school and into the bus I was riding. But I always tell myself that my time will come when it comes. I arrived back home and ate fried rice that my sister had made and went back to my computer. After about an hour we decided to just walk around the shops in the city. As I closed the door, I knew I had forgotten something again, but couldn't make out what. I tapped all my pockets to see if I missed anything but I still couldn't figure out what. I just left it at that and went to the nearby train station with my sister and boarded the next train. The ride was comfortable and quiet as usual besides the high pitched noises the children ahead of us were making. Then out of the blue my sister asks if I had the keys. I quickly tapped both of my pockets and widened my eyes as I looked at her. She did the same thing shortly after realizing what happened....we forgot our friggin' keys! We got off the next station to board another platform where a train is heading to the opposite direction. By then it had started to rain hard.
I paid a visit to the superintendant of the buildings and he told me that they dont have a spare key and my only option was to call a locksmith which they had a number. I quickly called the so-easy-to-remember number and was told that it would cost us 640 ,- (that's how danes write prices). 640 crowns would be all that would take for a locksmith to let us in. My sister asked if I had the money and I was sure I had enough. I grabbed my beaten-up leather wallet and got another surprise. I only had 400 crowns! I asked how much my sister had and she only had 150! So I was kinda bummed out but partly because it was still pouring. The receptionist of the locksmith company said they would come in 25 minutes so I decided to act fast. I jogged to that nearest bus stop and luckily, it came a minute after I got there. I was starting to become soaked but all I could think of was getting to the nearest bank branch and withdraw some cash. About 12 minutes later I jogged again from the stop to the bank which was about 100 meters away. Got money, jog back to the stop, get on, and what do you know? It stops raining and the sun shines. Unbelievable. I arrived and asked if he came yet and she said no. Unbelievable! All that running for nothing. It took about another 20 minutes for him to show up and got the door open. I showed him my keys to prove we actually did forget a set of keys. Paid him and off he went. My sister then noticed letters on the floor. One for the owner of the apartment (we're renting while he's in Cairo) and one for me. She gave me the letter and I read the top left part of it...and it read "FORSVARETS REKRUTTERING" ("The Defense's Recruiting"). I was immediately happy because that's what I've been waiting for! Inside contained an empty health form which I had to fill out. Looks like I need to see a doctor to help me fill this out.
I grabbed another shirt to put on after getting wet and we eventually went on the train again and towards the city. We went around shops and I told my sister I would leave and go home while she shopped. In the City Square, there were, what I think there were, a whole century of Chilean soccer fans. They were celebrating by shouting and drumming and blowing off horns and drinking. I don't exactly know what happened but I guess their team must have done something to get this crowd going. Reminded me of the Danish "Rooligans" (like the british Hooligans).
That's pretty much it for what happened in the course of today. What's next? My birthday finally coming up, after a year of waiting, next week on Thursday the 20th. Tomorrow I have a test to see how bad my Danish is and Friday is when I get to see how much my math will suck. I do expect my math to suck.....ass.
